Today is Tuesday, October 5, 2021. It is a A Day. Students should be at 70 steps.
Blayre Sutherland has a birthday today. Happy birthday, Blayre. LuAnn Klevan also has a birthday today. Happy birthday, Mrs. Klevan.
Reminder that tomorrow is late start Wednesday with school starting a half hour late.
Homecoming is this week. Elementary will be having dress up days as part of homecoming week. Today is movie character (dress as your favorite movie character); Wednesday is class color day (kindergarten—pink, 1st—orange, 2nd—yellow, 3rd—blue, 4th—red, 5th—purple, 6th—black; Staff—maroon); Thursday is Twin day (dress the same as another person), and Friday is School Spirit Day (wear school colors).
Just a reminder that Fire Prevention Week is this week. This year’s poster theme is “Learn the Sounds of Fire,” and students in grades kindergarten through grade 6 can participate in the poster contest. Students be sure to put your name on the back of the poster with teacher and grade. Deadline for posters will be Friday, October 8.
The fire department also invites families to an open house at the fire hall on October 7, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
FLU vaccine forms for CES students and staff, are due on Thursday, October 7.
The vaccine will be given on October 14.
For lunch today, we are having 1) Sloppy Joe on a bun; and 2) Ham deli sub sandwich.
