Welcome!

My name is Shane McBroom and I am very excited to be working with all the staff, students, families, and community members as the elementary principal.  Chatfield continues to be a very strong school district in all areas of academics, fine arts, and athletics.  The elementary school serves roughly 450 students in grades K-6 and also houses a strong Preschool Program.  Our students are fortunate to have ample green space on our beautiful 50-acre campus.

As you walk through the hallways of our relatively new facility, you will discover an atmosphere of helpful staff and students that are excited about learning and being part of our school.  We practice a character program that focuses on being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe.  Our goal is to provide students an inclusive and welcoming environment.

During the school day, our students are exposed to the Action 100 Reading Program through the American Reading Company, which works very well in helping us develop our young readers.  In addition to our core academic areas, our students enjoy opportunities in Technology, Art, Music, and Physical Education.
