Chatfield Public Schools uses Taher Inc, a professional food service company, to administer it food and lunch programs. Meals are based on very specific requirements from the USDA. If you have any questions about specific meals or have nutritional questions, please contact the food service director, Gwen McCaulley, and she can get you the information you need or assist with any questions.

- Meal benefits apply only to the reimbursable meal. The reimbursable meal includes milk as one of the required components and must be priced as a unit. If the student decides to take only milk, this is not a reimbursable meal and will be charged for the milk as an a la carte item. Just an Entrée’ or Ala carte or second meals are also not considered reimbursable meals.
- Morning Break ala carte is NOT part of the free breakfast or Free lunch programs. All morning break items are extra charges. If you have a negative balance DO NOT come thru the line unless you have cash.
Pandemic-EBT Benefits for Families Students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals may be eligible for Pandemic-Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) to purchase food for days they are not in the school building. To be considered, households must submit an application for free or reduced-price meals for the 2020-21 school year or be approved for Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Families who received P-EBT benefits last summer are not automatically eligible; eligibility is based on the current school year. Benefits may be retroactive to September 2020, depending on when eligibility for free or reduced-price meals is determined. To ensure you qualify for the most benefits, please submit your application as soon as possible. Applications can be found on the Parent Portal of your JMC Account. P-EBT Hotline and Help Form for Families
The P-EBT Hotline is available for families Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. to answer questions about P-EBT benefits. They may call 651-431-4608 or 1-833-454-0153 or submit questions through the P-EBT Help Form.
