Technovation
Technovation is a global, project-based STEM program that empowers girls in grades 7–12 to solve real-world problems using technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Through the Technovation program, students learn how to identify community challenges and create technology-based solutions that make a positive impact.
Participants work individually or in teams to design and build a mobile app or AI-based solution that addresses a real need. Along the way, students learn coding fundamentals, problem-solving strategies, user-centered design, and data-driven decision-making. The program also introduces entrepreneurship skills such as market research, teamwork, pitching ideas, and ethical technology use.
Technovation emphasizes collaboration, creativity, leadership, and perseverance. Students receive guidance through structured lessons, mentoring, and hands-on practice as they move from idea development to a completed project. Teams may choose to submit their projects to regional, national, or global Technovation competitions.
The program is open to all girls interested in technology, innovation, and making a difference—no prior coding or technical experience is required. Technovation provides a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages confidence, leadership, and exploration of STEM pathways.
Participation helps students build valuable skills in communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and technology that support future academic pursuits and career opportunities in STEM and beyond.
