All Student Announcements (7-12):

Delta is looking for new members, grades 7-12!

Delta is a group made up of students and teachers who are working together to positively influence the culture and relationships at our school.  We want to create positive change, make all students feel welcome, and recognize the accomplishments of our CHS community.  We plan to meet monthly via Zoom.

Art Club will be having their first meeting virtually on Zoom this Thursday (10/22) at 3:15-3:45. If you’re interested in attending, e-mail Ms. Potter (apotter@chatfieldschools.com) and she will send you the Zoom link and password.

 

Hy-Vee is partnering with the Chatfield School District to offer a school located influenza (Flu) vaccination clinic.  The vaccination clinics are scheduled to occur at the High School on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 (Group A) or Thursday, October 22, 2020 (Group B) from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Elementary is scheduled on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
If you would like to have your student receive the influenza (flu) vaccine at their school, please complete the vaccination authorization form and return to your school by October 12, 2020. These can be picked up in the high school or elementary offices. **If you would prefer your Child to have the Flu Mist, please make sure to mark it at the top of the authorization form.

 

Senior High Announcements (9-12):

This year’s Rube Goldberg Contest challenge is “Shake and Pour a Box of Nerds.”  Mrs. Gathje is looking for a team of 3-10 students in grades 9-12 to design a 75-step chain reaction machine out of household objects.  The build will start soon, so please let Mrs. Gathje know if you are interested by Friday 23 October.

 

This year’s Minnesota Engineering Contest theme is “Driving Change through Transportation.”  Mrs. Gathje is looking for a team of 3-10 students in grades 9-12 to design a 20-step chain reaction machine out of household objects.  The build will start soon, so please let Mrs. Gathje know if you are interested by Friday 23 October.

 

The Regional Science Fair will be held virtually in February 2021.  Any student in grade 9-12 is invited to work with Mrs. Gathje on an original research project.  Projects can be done as an individual or in teams of 2.  Please see Mrs. Gathje for details.

Juniors & Seniors:  A representative from University of Wisconsin – STOUT is having a ZOOM meeting for anyone interested in Stout on Wednesday, October 28 at 1:25PM.  Sign up on the list outside the Counseling Office or by emailing Mrs. Dudek.  You will be emailed the ZOOM link before the meeting.

Middle School Announcements (7-8):

Junior High Knowledge Bowl will happen this year! If you are in 7th grade and interested in finding out more or in 8th grade and ready to return to the team, please send an email to Mrs. Hanson (jhanson@chatfieldschools.com) letting her know you are interested.
