All Student Announcements (7-12):

If you checked out a book early in the school year, haven’t returned it, and haven’t renewed it, it is now overdue!  If you are done with it, please return it so someone else can read it.  If you are not done with it, please bring it by the Library in the LINC and get it renewed; it only takes a couple seconds.  Thanks!!

 

FLU vaccine for CHS students and staff

9:00 a.m. – Noon
You can pick up and return your sheet to the HS office.
All vaccine sheets need to be turned in no later than Friday, October 8 at noon.

 

Last week to purchase school spirit items for homecoming. School spirit items will be for sale this week during lunch and in Ms. Adams office before and after school. We have bandanas, pom poms, maroon & white bead neckalaces, pennants, foam fingers and seat cushions. Wear your school spirit items on Friday Oct. 8th.

 

Homecoming week is October 4-9!
All night activities are only for grades 9-12.

Senior High Announcements (9-12):

Reminder that today all PSAT testing students will meet in the Forum during 8th period (1:43) to fill out the pretest information.  Please remember your number 2 pencil(s) with erasers.

9th-12th graders – You will be voting for your 2021 HOCO King and Queen this Wednesday, October 6th via google forms. You will each be emailed a ballot and will be able to vote one time for your 2021 Homecoming Royalty! Voting closes Thursday @3:10pm. Please use your school email when voting.

Seniors Who sold Senior Pizzas:
The Huey’s pizzas will be ready for pick up on Monday the 11th from 2:45 to 3:15 in the senior lunch room.  Please arrange to have someone pick up your pizzas at that time.

Senior High Knowledge Bowl will practice during lunch in Mrs. Hanson’s room this Thursday. Bring your lunch! See you then!

 

Attention Families of 9th and 10th grade students:

Our rescheduled Gettysburg/Washington, DC trip is scheduled for June 26-July 3, 2022. Many of you remained registered for this trip with Legacy Student Travel and they are very excited to travel with you. For those of you who did, please be on the lookout for an announcement coming soon from Legacy with an update on this trip. This announcement will also be posted on the Travel Connections site, as well. Simply log into your account with them, and click on the Announcement Tab. For anyone wishing to join this trip (not currently registered), please contact Amy at Legacy Student Travel at amyh@legacytravelgroup.com for more information on itinerary, pricing, and how to register.

You will need to know your Grade Point Average, the level of education of your parent/guardian, and whether or not you guardian/parent served in the military.  It would be wise to bring your calculator on this day to make sure it qualifies as one that can be used on the PSAT test.

 

Drivers Education for students age 14 ½ and older will be Mon-Fri, Oct. 25-Nov. 5,  3:20-6:20 p.m.   Parents join the class on November 5th.   Flyers are available in the Activities Office.  Register at www.EnhancedDrivingInstitute.com.
 

Counselor News:

Juniors & Seniors!  A rep from LUTHER COLLEGE, Decorah, IA will be at CHS on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 15 at 9:30AM.  If you want to hear about Luther, sign up to meet with him in the counseling office by end of day on Thursday, October 14.
 

Greater Rochester Advocates for Colleges & Universities (GRAUC) and Southeast Service Cooperative (SSC) have teamed up to provide youth and adults in southeast Minnesota the opportunity to attend a the SE MN College Festival. This regional and virtual take on a college fair is designed for students, parents, counselors, and educators to attend. Sessions range from 15 to 45 minutes and take place during the daytime and evening hours to accommodate for parent engagement.  Sessions range in content from career training options, support services for all students and first generation college students, and financial aid support. See the attached program with session details. All Zoom links will be posted on FutureForward in the coming days.

Middle School Announcements (7-8):

REMINDER: Phones should NOT be out during the school day, lunchtime or recess. Any phones seen will be taken to the office.
