All Student Announcements (7-12): 

Reading is fun and good for you! Reading books may even lengthen your life! A 2016 study showed that reading books can reduce mortality by up to 20%. [Link to study: Association of Book Reading with Longevity] While longevity probably isn’t your biggest concern today, reading is a great habit to get into now for a better life! February is “I Love to Read” month! 

 

The SADD February meeting will be next Monday (2/6) in the forum during access time.

 

 

Valentine Cookie Sales! 
From Carley Mae’s Bakery $2.00 per cookie. 
Student Senate is selling cookies during lunch from February 6-9. Delivered on February 14 during access. 

 

Save the Date! 
Snoball dance is on March 18 at the Elementary school, from 8-11pm

Senior High Announcements (9-12):

 There is meeting during Access time on Thursday 2/9 in Mrs. Gathje’s room for students in grades 9-12 interested in learning more about the Envirothon competition.

 

Counselor News:

FOR CURRENT JUNIOR GIRLS:  American Legion Auxiliary Minnesota Girls State will be held June 11-17, 2023, at Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minnesota. Chatfield’s American Legion Auxiliary would LOVE to sponsor one or two girls to attend this. If interested, see Terri Dudek for contact information. Deadline to register is March 31. An email was sent to all junior girls with Girls State information.
