If you missed last night's FFA fun night/meeting please pick up an interest form to fill out and return to Ms Fritz so that we can contact you about future opportunities

 

Cheer on our Gopher football team by wearing school spirit gear at Thursday’s game. Pom poms, bandanas, and beads will be for sale during lunch on Wednesday. Prices are: Pom poms $2.00 each, Bandanas $2.00 each, Maroon or White Beads $1.00 each

 

 

The SE MN Regional Science Fair will be held at Winona State University on  February 25, 2022.  High school students can compete with an original project and/or paper presentation.  Many students have the opportunity to advance to the state competition on March 14 and one winner from the region will win an one week all-expense paid trip to Atlanta to compete in the International Science and Engineering Fair in May 2022.  Please see Mrs. Gathje if you areinterested in competing.

Attention CHS! We have great staff members that deserve recognition!
The Delta Culture and Character Group is going to be sponsoring “Shining Staff” recognitions throughout the rest of the school year. You will be seeing a table set up during lunch on Mondays and Wednesdays where you can write a kind thought about featured staff members each week. These comments will be posted and shared with the featured staff members, please show your appreciation for our staff and share a nice thought. The first two “Shinning Staff” will be Principal, Mr. Nelson and MS Social Studies Teacher, Mr. Becker.

 

OPEN GYM BEGINS IN DECEMBER!   The ELEMENTARY GYM will be available for practicing your basketball skills, playing HORSE,  a little 1-on-1, 3-on-3, or a full court game (if space is available.)  Come for the exercise,  for basketball practice, or just for the FUN!!!

Grades 4-8 —     2:15-3:45 p.m.                   $22 for the season
Grades 9-Adult -4:00-5:30 p.m.                  $22 for the season
Due to the continued presence of COVID, we need to eliminate the handling of money and must have the necessary information for contact tracing.   Therefore, ADVANCE REGISTRATION is required.  Register in the Activities Office or online (use registration link on the Community Education page of the school website).

Chatfield FFA has a #BreaktheStigma wall for mental health in the high school gym - please feel free to put positive and school appropriate notes on this wall.  Markers and post its will be available by the end of the wall by the gym hallway entrance

 

Due to the victory on Friday night by our Gopher Football Team, the CHS Band Program’s Veteran’s Day Concert is performing on it’s alternate date Tuesday, November 16th, 2021. 7pm in the HS Gym. Free and open to the public.

 

 

Senior High Announcements (9-12):

9th and 10th Grade DC Trip Meeting:

All 9th and 10th graders still planning to go on next summer's DC trip, will have a meeting in the Forum Room on Tuesday, November 23rd from 1:40 to 2:15.  A Field Trip request was submitted based on the registration list at Legacy.  If you are registered, but not planning to go, please cancel your registration as soon as possible.  Mr. Becker

 

Senior High Knowledge Bowl: Lunch practice is moved to Friday of this week!

The Delta Recognitions Team will meet during lunch on Monday in Mrs. Hanson’s room. Bring your lunch – see you there!

 

Counselor News:

SENIORS & JUNIORS!  Planning on going into ENGINEERING?  Stop in the counseling office and ask about Winona State’s Engineering Showcase Day which is November 20, and possible scholarship opportunities for their General Engineering Majors.

 

Juniors & Seniors, the following colleges will be visiting CHS in November.  Sign up outside the counseling office if you want to meet with a rep from any or all of these colleges:

·       North Dakota State University is Tuesday, November 16 at 10:30AM

·       University of Wisconsin–Stout is Friday, November 19 at 12:45PM

 

Middle School Announcements (7-8):

Meet in the cafeteria tomorrow (Tuesday) morning to get on the bus. You do not need to report to your first period class.
