Gaming Club: Featured game this week will be Risk (regular and Godstorm), as well as the usual D and D. Join us Thursday in room 106 after school until 5:30!
Reading books can help us become more compassionate, empathetic people. A 2013 study showed that literary fiction in particular led to readers being better at understanding what other people were thinking and feeling, along with increasing their capacity for empathy. [Link to study: Reading Literary Fiction Improves Theory of Mind] So, reading can make you a better person!! February is “I Love to Read” month!

Senior High Announcements (9-12):
Attention Juniors: We are one month away from the ACT test. If you are interested in some extra preparation for this test come and see Mr. DeBuhr during ACCESS Tuesday 2/7 – Friday 2/10.
There is meeting during Access time on Thursday 2/9 in Mrs. Gathje’s room for students in grades 9-12 interested in learning more about the Envirothon competition.

FOR CURRENT JUNIOR GIRLS: American Legion Auxiliary Minnesota Girls State will be held June 11-17, 2023, at Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minnesota. Chatfield’s American Legion Auxiliary would LOVE to sponsor one or two girls to attend this. If interested, see Terri Dudek for contact information. Deadline to register is March 31. An email was sent to all junior girls with Girls State information.
